Project Overview
Embrace is more than light; it’s elegance in form. Its sculptural frame surrounds and highlights every object, celebrating beauty even when off. Perfect for museums, galleries, events, and luxury boutiques, it transforms displays into experiences of refinement. Available in exquisite colors, with a smart hub to adjust color temperature and brightness, Embrace, because every masterpiece deserves the perfect frame of light.
With interchangeable lenses, our product effortlessly illuminates objects of every size, transforming a single device into many. This versatile design not only broadens accessibility for users but also embraces sustainability, reducing waste and conserving precious resources.
Beyond its functional versatility, the product reflects a thoughtful approach to design and innovation. By combining adaptability with responsibility, it sets a new standard for sustainable solutions, inspiring users to engage with technology in a more mindful and resource-conscious way.
Challenge
The core vision was a light that acts as a “frame” gracefully surrounding and highlighting objects even when turned off, creating presence and elegance in museums, luxury boutiques, galleries, and events. Achieving this required a sculptural form that felt organic and enclosing, without appearing bulky or intrusive. Early iterations struggled with proportions: too open, and it lost the embracing quality; too closed, and it cast unwanted shadows or restricted adjustability. Through extensive prototyping and iterative refinement (with key contributions from Arezou Barzegar), we perfected a balanced, minimalist yet expressive structure that celebrates the object it illuminates.
Task lighting for premium displays demands flawless light quality — precise beam control, tunable color temperature, and even illumination without glare or hotspots. We incorporated interchangeable lenses to adapt to objects of varying sizes, turning one fixture into multiple solutions. This modularity was technically demanding: it required seamless integration of optics, heat management, and mechanical reliability while maintaining the clean sculptural aesthetic. The result is a highly adaptable system that enhances texture, tone, and emotion with a smart controller for effortless adjustments.
Results
Producing a high-end, production-ready luminaire in Tehran involved navigating material limitations, cost efficiency, and global quality standards. We prioritized sustainability by designing for longevity and reduced waste — the interchangeable lenses minimize the need for multiple fixtures, conserving resources. Thermal management, durability, and elegant color options added layers of complexity to the engineering process, demanding close collaboration between design and manufacturing teams at Rasalight.
